On Monday the former adult film star, Jenna Jameson was allegedly attacked by her husband, Tito Ortiz, but now cooler heads may prevail. At the time of Tito’s arrest Jenna allegedly had visible injuries, so he is now facing a charge of felony domestic violence. On his release he told the press the whole thing was caused by Jenna’s OxyContin addiction, which Jenna promptly denied. On Tuesday, reportedly Jenna underwent a drug test at a major national facility in Las Vegas and passed, pretty much killing Tito’s alibi. The results were clear of the ten major drugs the highly accurate test can discover, which includes cocaine, cannabis, meth and Oxycodone — the main ingredient in the prescription drug Tito claimed Jenna had taken – OxyContin. But if you think Jenna is now set to go in for the kill you might be surprised, as she now says: “What actually happened has now been dramatically distorted and misinterpreted and remarks that both Tito and I made after the police arrived reflect the state of shock that we were both in.” Tito is also backing off, saying that he found two OxyContin pills in a pair of her pants pocket and may have jumped to conclusions. Jenna says the pills were very old. Tito’s lawyer, Chip Matthews, tells TMZ the whole thing was “a big misunderstanding.” Of course TMZ also points out that Tito stands to lose $15 million from his UFC contract as well as other businesses, if he’s prosecuted for domestic violence. So you can see why Tito might be motivated to play nice, but I am a bit surprised by Jenna’s change of heart. Particularly when friend and fellow adult porn star Joslyn James, says she witnessed the former UFC champion physically abuse Jameson many times during the couple’s four year union. Jenna may want her lover and mother of her young twins back now, but I am not too sure this is a very healthy situation to raise those boys in.
