“A couple of the [NAACP] representatives came out with their signs to try to shut it down,” Edward Smith, Director of Sales for Evasive Angles, said. “We were already done, we were just finishing up with some dialogue, so they caused the property owners to try to kick us out. We finished up, but we had a little bit of hassle there. They thought we were putting it in a bad light.”
Evasive claims they aren’t.
“It’s made pro-black, it’s not pro-white,” director and Evasive Angles owner T.T. Boy explained to AVN, a business magazine dedicated to covering the adult entertainment industry, in an interview. “It has comedy in it; it’s something like one of the Dave Chappelle Roots [skits]. The slaves f*** all the white girls, the daughters and the wives of the masters. It’s wild.”
Evasive is betting big on this one. It’s not only a title to court a lot of controversy, it’s the most expensive project the studio’s ever produced. Evasive’s president reveals the reason for the expense:
“We used a $10,000 location, and it looks as real as you can get. The production value is out of the world. We have costumes that are from the 1800s, they’re exact. We have a wagon that’s from 1850. It ended up costing a lot of money, because we had a lot of extras and we had a lot of stuff going on, and the cast is probably about 20 people.”

GEORGIA BOARD DENIES TROY DAVIS CLEMENCY
Davis’ case has already taken more unexpected turns than just about any death-penalty case in Georgia history and his innocence claims have attracted international attention. Its resolution was postponed once again when the parole board late Monday announced it would not be making an immediate decision as to whether Davis should live or die.
Davis, 42, is scheduled to be put to death by lethal injection on Wednesday at 7 p.m. at the state prison in Jackson. He was sentenced to death for the 1989 murder of off-duty Savannah Police Officer Mark Allen MacPhail.
On Monday, Davis’ lawyers said they believed they’d made their case that there is too much doubt in the case. But members of MacPhail’s family expressed confidence the board would deny clemency.
After Davis’ lawyers made their three-hour presentation, attorney Stephen Marsh emerged from the hearing and said, “We believe we have established substantial doubt in this case.”
Davis’ nephew, DeJaun Davis-Correia, pleaded for mercy from the board, Davis’ lawyers said.
Late Monday, Davis’ sister, Martina Correia, said her family is glad the parole board is taking its time.
“I know they have a lot to consider,” she said. “We’re just praying for a good outcome.”
As for her brother’s execution date being set on repeated occasions, “It’s been like reliving a nightmare over and over. … But we believe in our brother’s innocence.”
The surviving relatives of the slain officer presented a decidedly different front. They resolutely told the news media they believe Davis is a cop killer who deserves to die for what he did.
“He’s guilty,” MacPhail’s widow, Joan MacPhail-Harris, said. “We need to go ahead and execute him.”
MacPhail-Harris expressed confidence the board would deny clemency. “What a travesty it would be if they don’t uphold the death sentence. … It’s time for justice today. My family needs justice. He was taken from us too soon, too early.”
As for the case presented by Davis’ legal team that Davis was wrongly convicted, she said, “It’s been a lie.”
MacPhail-Harris was flanked by her 23-year-old daughter, Madison MacPhail, and 22-year-old son, Mark MacPhail Jr., who were a toddler and an infant when their father was killed.
“A future was taken from me,” said Madison MacPhail, unable to hold back tears. “The death penalty is the correct form of justice. … Troy Davis murdered my father, no questions asked.”
The officer’s mother, Anneliese MacPhail, said the family “has been through hell without Mark. He did his duty. He loved his country.”

PORN COMPANY BUILDING UNDERGROUND 2012 SHELTER
LOS ANGELES (CBS) — A San Fernando Valley adult entertainment studio began construction this month on what it calls a “post-apocalyptic” underground bunker in anticipation of a global catastrophe rumored to take place in late 2012.
A spokesman for Van Nuys-based Pink Visual said the bunker will be “far more than a mere bomb shelter or subterranean survivalist enclave” with amenities such as multiple fully-stocked bars, an enormous performing stage and a sophisticated content production studio.
“Our goal is nothing less than to survive the apocalypse to come in comfort and luxury,” said Pink Visual spokesman Quentin Boyer, “whether that catastrophe takes the form of fireballs flung earthward by an all-seeing deity, extended torrential rainfall, Biblical rapture, an earthquake-driven mega-tsunami, radioactive flesh-eating zombies, or some combination of the above.”
The studio’s website will also be maintained and updated throughout any potential disaster “even if those websites are only available on the bunker’s self-contained local network by that time,” Boyer added.
He declined to give the exact location of the bunker over “security concerns”.
The studio is currently working out details on the selection criteria for all non-Pink Visual personnel who they will allow to take refuge in the bunker, but Boyer said it will “likely include both merit-based and random selections, with Pink Visual performers, active site members and Twitter followers getting priority over the general public.”
Although no set number was provided, LA Weekly reported anywhere from 1,200 to 1,500 people will be allowed into the bunker by its planned completion date of September 2012.

Christina Milian has kept mum about the details surrounding her very public divorce from esteemed singer/songwriter The-Dream -- until now. The songstress opens up about the messy split in the February issue of Latina magazine, in which she appears on the cover.
Though news of the former couple's parting hit the Internet last July, Milian admits she and The-Dream still carried on in their marital relations, yet life was anything but sweet. "I tried to be someone I wasn't because I wanted my marriage to work," she reveals. "But ultimately, if it's not working, it's not working."
When photos surfaced of her ex-husband canoodling with his assistant, Melissa Santiago, on a Caribbean beach, the 29-year-old was clueless of the affair. "I didn't know anything," Milian admits. "But looking back, my gut was telling me something was off. But I thought I could fix it."
Despite dealing with a bad breakup in the public eye, Milian, who's currently working on her as-yet-untitled fourth studio album, has weathered the storm. "I've been to hell and back, but I survived," she says. The singer reportedly received a $4 million lump sum in her divorce settlement plus $5,000 every month in child support for Violet, the child the former couple shares.
"I learned a lot about myself this year," Milian says. "I learned what I can handle. I learned how much I can take. I learned who I am and what I will accept for myself and my daughter."

KANYE WEST BEING SUED FOR ASSULT !
A photographer has brought a new lawsuit against Kanye West after reportedly sustaining injuries from a scuffle with the rapper's security team almost three years ago.
Michael Vasquez claims that the assault took place during a May 2008 party in New York. West was on hand to perform at the event, during which Vasquez claims that "his agents, servants and/or employees acting in the course and within the scope of their employment, detained and/or threatened and/or caused plaintiff to suffer injuries."
44-year-old Vasquez went on to say that, "the assault and battery was committed by the defendant, West, [his] agents, servants and/or employees, with malice" and caused him "physical, mental and emotional illness."
